Bottle Description

2023 marks the 80th Anniversary of 617 Squadron, known as 'The Dambusters' and this distinguished squadron has played an important role in the Royal Air Force's history, from the famous bombing raid in the Ruhr Valley in 1943, to its current mission as the RAF's first front line squadron.

This Glenturret single malt is one of only 617 bottles released.

Distillery Information
Destillery logo

Glenturret distillery is located two miles northwest of Crieff in Perthshire, Scotland on the banks of the Turret River.

The distillery was officially established in 1763, but had previously been under the control of illicit distillers, who sought to avoid paying taxes, since 1717.

This early history has led to claims that Glenturret is the oldest distillery in Scotland, a title contested by other establishments such as Littlemill or Strathisla.

Important Notice

All items are carefully inspected and any marks or damage are noted within the lot description. We do however strongly recommend that you undertake a thorough close-up inspection prior to placing any bids. If you are not satisfied with the information shown and would like more details, please contact us on [email protected] and our team will be happy to help. It is also important to note that lots will be sold as seen and described.

It is important to note that should an outer box be provided, it will be photographed and shown regardless of the condition. If there is not an image of an outer box, this means it is absent and will not be provided.

All lots can have insurance against breakage or loss during transit added at an additional cost. This is available to add at the checkout at a cost of 4% of the hammer price. Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of the liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against leakage in transit.
